Sweeper flights provided for students stranded in Metro Manila –DILG

By MB Online

Sweeper flights will also be arranged for students stranded in Metro Manila during the enhance community quarantine in Luzon, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) assured Saturday.

“Mayroon na tayong ginawang arrangement d’yan. Nagkaroon na tayo ng mga sweeper flights,” Interior Secretary Eduardo Año said in an interview over DZMM.

The flights, however, will have to be done in coordination with local government units.

The Department of Education earlier said it considers school opening by the end of August. Meanwhile, the Inter-Agency Task Force on Infectious and Emerging Diseases (IATF) recommended opening of classes by September.
