“Kailangan pa rin ng isang indibidwal or isang household na ipatupad pa rin ang kanilang measures, katulad po ng pagsusuot ng mask, pag hugas ng kamay, cough etiquette and kailangan pa rin na maisatupad sa buong lugar na yon ang physical distancing, sila man ay pinayagan pero kailangan pa rin na ipatupad ang mga measures na ito kung hindi babalik pa rin ang mga kaso sa kanilang lugar,” Department of Health (DOH) Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said in a report from ABS-CBN News.

(An individual or a household must continue to implement measures such as wearing a mask, washing of hands, cough etiquette, and the physical distancing in the entire area. They still need to implement these measure otherwise cases will return on their area. )

Loosened quarantine measures in areas under the general community quarantine may be again placed under enhanced community quarantine if COVID-19 cases continue to rise, Vergeire said.

“Pag nakita natin na paparating na naman ang isang naka GCQ na area dito sa punto na ang kanilang case doubling time ay iikli ulit o ang kapasidad ng health system ay magkakaroon ng weakness atin pwedeng pag-usapan ulit sa IATF para makita kung kailangang ibalik ang ECQ (enhanced community quarantine) sa kanila, ” she said.

(If we see that an area under the general community quarantine is coming to the point where the case doubling time will shorten again or the capacity of their health system shows weakness, the IATF will discuss again to see if they will be placed again under enhanced community quarantine.)

The Luzon-wide community quarantine was lifted on April 30 while Metro Manila and several high-risk areas are still under the enhanced community quarantine until May 15.
